About Tachelhit 30
Tachelhit 30 is an online course for people who want to speak Tashelhit, or to study Standard Amazigh properly. Lessons are short, with audio, exercises and a spaced-repetition review so that new phrases stay in memory.
Two courses, two varieties
The spoken course (Tourist Express, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) teaches the Tashelhit spoken in Morocco, written in Latin letters, for travel and daily life. It is based on the Peace Corps Morocco Tashlheet Textbook (2011), with explanations and exercises written for this course.
The Standard Amazigh Academy teaches the standardised language written in Tifinagh-IRCAM: the 33 letters, sound changes, nouns, verbs and sentences. It follows the structure of IRCAM's La nouvelle grammaire de l'amazighe (2008) with original explanations, and includes a track explained in Arabic for speakers of Moroccan Arabic (Darija).
Regional varieties differ. Each track says which variety it teaches, and some forms are marked as being reviewed by a native speaker before they are final.
